Our Story

Founded by Barry and Lorette Taylor, Farnham Stables began as a humble training yard in South Africa. Over the years, it’s become a leading showjumping hub, known for producing top horses and riders who go on to compete—and win—on the national circuit.

Driven by the desire to help even more riders reach their full potential, Barry and Lorette expanded their services beyond in-person clinics, creating an online coaching platform that allows you to train with them no matter where you are.

Two Champions, One Mission: Your Success

Barry Taylor has clinched multiple National Grand Prix titles and represented South Africa in numerous high-profile competitions. His expertise in showjumping technique and horse development has helped shape the careers of many emerging talents in the sport.

Lorette Knowles-Taylor brings complementary strengths to the table, having competed at top levels and honed her ability to transform riders’ mindset, confidence, and partnership with their horses.

Together, they challenge their students to not just match their achievements—but to surpass them.

Our Coaching Philosophy

At Farnham Stables, we want every rider to have access to  coaching—without traveling or rearranging their entire schedule. Our online platform delivers the same insights and structure you’d get in person, complete with audio guides, downloadable diagrams, and offline-friendly materials that make it easier to train on days when you’re flying solo without an instructor.
